Paper - I Growth and Development of child
1Importance of the study of developmental psychology with special reference to early childhood.
2Meaning of growth and Development
3Principles of child development, stages of child development from conception to Pre-primary age-their characteristics, rate of development, developmental norms at each stage, needs of children at each stage with special reference to early childhood.
4Major aspects of child development
5Physical Development : Development of different organs of the body, norms of physical development
6Motor development :- Its meaning and significance, role of maturation in the development of motor skills, gross and finer muscular developmental sequence of development of major motor skills; factor influencing physical and motor development.
7Social development :- Pattern of social development, social behaviour in early childhood, forms of social , unsocial and antisocial behaviour, factor affecting social development ; development of social maturity.
